So I finally made it to the strip, unfortunately it is only a 1/8 mile, but it still gave me an idea of where I'm at and how much having a passenger affects your acceleration.

I was running a consistent 10.6 with a a passenger-out came the passenger and spare (15" steelie).

My times went down to a low 10.4 to a high 10.3.

I ran exactly 20 times, so I figured the tree out and tried differnt techniques with my launch and auto shifting.

I found that brake boosting (holding in the gas and brake) at 2000rpm in L then releasing as soon as the first amber light goes off works the best, then running first out to redline, allowing the car to shift in L, then switching to D afterwards.

I think I did well for my first time to the track EVER!

I also think my times could be improved by removing my passenger seat and putting my oem 16" wheels with brand new tires on to reduce wheelspin in the start.

I'd be happy with a low 15 personally, I'd say the 1/8 is slacking a little because of my lack of low end power. . .may be able to make up some time with an extra 1/8.
