so what you're saying is that your stock head unit is giving you disk errors and stuff? are they good CDs?

yea it is with brand new cd's and burnt not one scratch on my stuff promise you that its ever since i built my custom box i made it fit snug and i doubt it but i was wondering if since it is touching the frame it might be causing too much body rattle just to give you an idea how hard it hits my mirror moves and has become loose (Any suggestions for that problem LOL) oh and my rear defroster fell off (not sure if that was due to the bass or not) do you have dynamat in your car burksdb

for the mirror, throw some dynamat on that ball joint as best ya can. if not...well then maybe super glue. idk, i have the same problem with the mirror. as for the CD player skipping, idk. could be a faulty cd player. i've seen some people hitting pretty damn hard, including myself, and their cd player doesnt do that.

The thing is it never skips while I'm jamming out it's a couple months down the road and it's happened with 2 of them I was thinking bout the super glue. Anyone no how to take the mirror apart if so I will prolly try dynamat I don't wanna put it where it is visable. Thanks for the help I am really worried about it skipping I don't want it to happen again cuz my standard warranty is almost up and I don't know if the standard warranty will cover my radio thanks again for the help

Best bet would be going aftermarket. You shouldn't have to worry about it happening again with a decent aftermarket head unit.

Ok, so here's a little anti-shock trick you can do that a friend who runs in audio comps does:

1. remove all the trim panels holding your stereo in place
2. remove the stereo itself
3. take some black electrical tape, and layering it up three times or more, cover the mounts for the stereo(this includes any rear mounts)
4. take a screwdriver, and poke a few holes in the taped up mounts to re-install the stereo
5. re-install the stereo and surrounding trim

What that does, is give your stereo just that extra cushioning for when the sub hits. That way, the deck doesnt get shaken as much, and it wont throw read errors.

As for removing your mirror, i think this might be of help:

^That's my thought...it can't be the subs...they aren't putting out that much power. My JL 12W6v2 setup was pretty good in my old car and I never had a problem with the CD player skipping (was aftermarket), but the point is I'm pretty sure I had more power in that system than the OP probably has in his.

That's why I say to just get an aftermarket head unit and be done....

It is my rea view mirror that is doing the shaking not the side mirrors. As for the radio it won't be a problem I blew something either a channel on my 4channel amp or one of my subs either way I don't have the money to get new lol thanks for all the help guys continue to post solutions ps don't you need a memory module to put a aftermarket stereo in
