Hello everyone i have a 2006 Chevy cobalt 2.2L i have had a problem where i stop at a stop sign and my idle is smooth however i fell a active misfire and sometimes stall at a stop sign or a light after sitting there for a while the rpm dont dance around it just dies or you fell the hesitation at a stop light like it wants to stall i have went ahead and cleaned the throttle body did not have to do a reflash or relearn i cleaned the mass airflow sensor and did the fuel injectors i have read that those coil packs and the ignition control module commonly fail on those years if someone could try to point me in the right direction i am stumped at this point wish it would throw a code also the car has a cold air intake on it just want to get this car up and running

Your engine is very sensitive to the correct spark plugs and the coil pack.
You stated you read……but did you change the coil pack/ ignition module or spark plugs?

So to both….get a good compression reading on paper ….not just a verbal it’s good or they seemed ok. Get the numbers with both dry readings and wet readings.
Then share the info and what plugs are in your Ecotec
The spark plug gaps are fine do you think it’s the coil pack I know there known to fail it only does this at idle
I haven’t changed any of them yet I just needed a idea

Hello,
Now it is my turn!
I have decided to put my car in the shop! Where do I start? And what do I ask for?
Do I ask for a compression check wet n dry? First?
I just don't want to get ripped off! Cause I'm a woman!
It is leaking oil now on the ground and is not feeling to good at the stop lights!
I drive a lot from work to home 38 miles each way only 3 times a week!
Any suggestions?

Did you ever get your engine and engine compartment cleaned ? You have posted several times and never replied to the questions or replies. People that are quite well versed in these cars are willing to help, but you need to reply to the questions.
I suggest you open your own topic / post / thread and stick with it for a while.

now from what I recall, all I know is might be an 07 with an oil leak somewhere.

So start a thread and give ALL of the car details, year, model, transmission, and what you have done to it. Then tell what problems your having and what corrective actions you tried.
And answer the questions in your thread
If your compression checks out ok...I'd suspect the coil pack & the icm. I replaced mine with an NGK, came with spark plug boots & all.
