It is either burning or leaking. Go to the end of the exhaust pipe and rub your finger inside. If it comes out black and oily then you are burning oil. Crawl under the engine and look for leaks. If the bottom of the engine is oily then trace the leak to what is leaking. If it is totally filthy then spray engine cleaner wherever there is oil and once clean you can see where it is leaking from.

I have a 2007 LS cobalt. I am getting ready to go home my car is startting to sound sick. Since it is leaking oil from the chain plate then I should just have them put a new one then? or what? I need help hello anyone? Please? Thanks
