So I haven't thrown it on the diagnosis yet.

However my cobalt is running really rough suddenly.

I have just changed the spark plugs, the coil packs, the cam intake & out take, the cam position sensor, finally got my check engine light off!

(prior to this, i have just changed the control arms, the front struts, rear shocks, front & back brakes, front wheel hubs)

Then while driving it, the check engine light came BACK on, this time flashing when its being driven. When in park its just light solid.
When you shift it into gear, it seems to go with a real clunk type feeling, and you here a tinny type rattle when your outside the car, and when you have the hood open, you notice the engine moves when you put it into drive.

It seems to have a hard time keeping up the power on hills, and anything below 40mph it seems to struggle, anything over that & it seems to run a little better.

any ideas would be appreciated it.
Its a 2009 cobalt LT
2.2 auto with 148,000 miles on it

I'm hoping to get it on the diagnosis sometime this week, won't be driving anywhere til I do

Where does the tinny rattle sound like it's coming from? Was the timing chain ever replaced? My daughter's car (A 2004 Saturn Ion with a 2.2) had a tinny rattle coming from the left side of the engine where the belts are. Turns out a guide bolt broke off causing slop in the chain. I'm wondering if your timing chain has slop and caused it to jump timing...
