Anyone try using 4 ramps to get a car off the ground? With FWD I'm not sure if the back wheels would cooperate. I was thinking easier than jack and stands when you have a quick job?, which they never seem to be.
That only works if the body is high enough to get the ramps under it. I know because I did it with a Jeep Cherokee. But a Cherokee is so high off the ground I can change the oil without jacking it up. These Cobalts and most modern cars are too close to the ground for that. Even getting a 3 ton jack under the rear axle cross member is a huge PITA.
My RhinoRamps wouldn't fit under the car and I doubt other brands would be much different, so getting the whole car raised with them is a no-go. However, I've definitely backed onto the ramps to get the rear raised up and had no issues.
