Wondering if anyone has seen or written a write-up of how to replace the wiring harness that runs to the accelerator pedal?

My cobalt periodically throws P2138 and goes into limp mode. I've changed the accelerator pedal, cleaned two grounds under the hood, cleaned the connections behind the access panel in the center console, seems like frayed wiring on the wiring harness might be the problem from what I have read online, but it's a tight squeeze with not much visibility so I'm trying to get information before I decide to tackle this.

TIA.
