It seems others had problems with breaking the vent tube off of this plastic air intake GM calls the outlet duct "GM part 15838665"

The normal repair is a new $150-$250 outlet duct since a replacement vent tube connector would only retail for $5.00

I found a spent brass case from a 38 or 357 to be just about right in length and diameter to reinforce the inside of the broken vent tube.

Cut the primer end off of the spent cartridge and use the right drill bit to ream the inside of the remaining vent tube parts and press fit back together.

With a good press fit no vacuum leaks. Use of epoxy is optional and this repair can be stronger than original......that is if you are not ready for a new cold air intake setup
