Anyone Have Info on the Metal Sandwich Method GM Used in Making the Cobalt Quiet?

Does anyone have drawings or photos (factory or otherwise) showing the "two layers of steel with a sound-deadening material in between to keep road noise out of the cabin"? Also, to which parts of the vehicle was this method applied? Also curious if the two layers of steel helped structural integrity, or was it solely for the purpose of sound deadening?

I copied the following from the internet:

"Campbell said two notable changes set Cobalt apart from Cavalier. One is attention to fit and finish and how interior trim and body panels line up without gaps. The other is attention to quietness.

To address the latter, the chassis is made of two layers of steel with a sound-deadening material in between to keep road noise out of the cabin.

Quiet is important because it gives the perception of quality. Once up to cruising speed, the Cobalt cabin is considerably more noise-free than Cavalier thanks to that metal sandwich and thicker glass all around."
