I have a 2008 Cobalt LT, and I can hear a low kinda like howling sound coming from the front passenger side wheel. Does that sound like a bad wheel bearing??? The noise starts about 30-40mph, I don't have any check engine light or anything like that coming up. It has about 60,000 miles on it.

Any advice or tips on how to diagnose this properly would be awesome
Also if I do have to replace the wheel bearing should I do both front wheels or just the bad one?

Thanks

Just the bad one. I've replaced passenger side twice already and still have original drivers side at less than 60000miles. If it sounds like you're sitting in the back of a plane it's a wheel bearing, if you turn side to side and the noise changes slightly it's a wheel bearing. Stethoscope is the best way to figure out which is bad.

Yep. What coby said. In my blazer I had a bad wheel bearing. When I turned to the right it made the noise, I do believe it was the left bearing.
