I've been working on my wire mesh grill mod, and I had a cool idea. The *rear* bowties on the mid 90's Cavaliers were just outlined, rather than the solid bowties we have. The size is pretty close to ours. They are blue, but if painted red, it would perfectly replicate a "camaro looking" front end on a flat black grill. This would look SWEEEET on BumbleBee's grill, and I think I've seen a few other people taping off their existing bowties for the outline effect. Junkyards would probably have hundreds of these. Anybody willing to give it a shot?
This is what the bowtie looks like:
I'll post my grill mod this week, just finishing cutting the mesh!
glad to see you posting...
i think there could be good things to come from your idea.
i think im done with my badging, but maybe someone else will give it a shot?
cant wait to see your grill!
I think he's talking about meshing the whole front grill...not leaving the crossbar where the current Chevy badge is. If that's the case, then this would look pretty nice.
Yeah, I didn't mean mesh the whole grill, not a fan of that personally. Black adhesive vinyl would fix the hole problem tho.. I'm going to try this out myself I think, nobody else seems to be jumping on board
