Twice in one year!

Not sure if posting "wanted to buy" is okay, but if it is, does anyone have a good used 2007 Cobalt LS (2.2L) oil pan for sale, cheap? My zip code is 92563 (Murrieta, CA), so anyone fairly local would be great, but not required.

By the way, I didn't see a "for sale/wanted" section, so if this isn't okay, please go ahead and remove the thread.

Thanks

It's actually my son's car and he thinks it's a 4 wheel drive truck! He went to a bonfire the other night and it was off a dirt road. Late at night, dark, dirt road... You get the picture. He was attacked by a heard of large rocks!

Any idea how many posts I have to make before I can view the market place?

Thanks

By the way, if I can't find a used on, does anyone have any input on the Dorman aftermarket replacement you can get at Rockauto for $90 plus shipping?

The part number is 264133 at Rockauto, but O'Reilly shows it as part number 264-133

The Dorman is an exact replica. No better no worse!

Banker he needs it to be cheaper than 90$ so maybe you should throw a price quote at him instead of just saying you have one.

Ok guys, we were able to find one locally and I went ahead and got Tim's pan (BankerBalt) as well as a backup for when this happens again, but my next question is... does anyone make any kind of skid plate or cover that can be used to protect this thin piece of tissue paper Chevrolet calls an oil pan?

Thanks guys. I was looking under the car this weekend and it shouldn't be too difficult to fab up something. There's a metal recycle place a few miles away, so I'll see what they have in the way of 1/4" sheet.

1/4", you building a tank? 1/8" is probably all you'd need to deflect damage, 3/16" at the most. Unless you want the weight to lower the front even more.

I was thinking the same thing. 1/8" max!
