Ok I just got into my car and went to go start it and it didn't crank I turned the key off and on abt 5 times and then it started as soon as it started the theft light came on and the power steering came across the DIC then the gauges drop to zero (the theft light and power steering always come on with each other and then gauges go out right after) well this has happened abt five times but this time the car didn't start when I turned the key but I lost power steering. A couple seconds after te car is running the gauges go back to normal the power steering on the dic goes away but the theft light stays on... Idk what's goin on with this but please help me.. The brake light is also on do to a leaking rear caliper.

Did you try and start it with a non-transponder key ( like one you had cut to open the doors ). If the theft deterent light is on, you might have to do a key relearn to sync your key to the TDM and BCM. It's a simple procedure but it takes 1/2 an hour.

30-Minute Vehicle Key Relearn
Important: This procedure will only relearn the vehicle keys. This procedure will not learn the immobilizer prerelease password or the challenge/response data. Do not use this procedure as a substitute for a 10-minute relearn when replacing or reprogramming a TDM or ECM. Doing so will result in a failure to learn the prerelease password and/or the challenge/response data.

This 30-minute learn procedure should be used when all vehicle keys are desired to be replaced or reprogrammed. This procedure will erase all previously learned vehicle keys from the TDM. Once the 30-minute learn procedure has been completed, any remaining vehicle keys may be programmed using the Adding Keys procedure to ensure their continued functionality.

With an unlearned master vehicle key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Observe the security indicator, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off.
Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
Repeat steps 1-3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes.
Important: The TDM learns the key transponder information upon the ignition switch transition from OFF to ON. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

With a master vehicle key, start the vehicle. The vehicle has now learned the key transponder information.
If additional keys are required to be learned, refer to Adding Keys.

Adding Keys
Important:

• To initiate, this procedures requires that a learned master key be available.

• A total of 10 keys may be programmed to a single vehicle.

• This procedure adds keys only. The procedure does not erase previously learned keys.

• The keys to be learned must duplicate the mechanical cut of the current key.

• If more than one valet key is to be learned, immediately precede each valet key with a learned master key.

With a previously learned master key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key.
Within 10 seconds of turning OFF the ignition, insert the key to be learned and turn ON the ignition. The vehicle has now learned the new key.

Did we ever disguss about pulling and replacing the ECM/TCM fuse in the BCM block? I can't remember. Because you are obviously losing GMLan, maybe that fuse has corroded tabs.

The one on the passenger side, pull fuse 25 upper lefthand corner and just replace it to see if your problems go away.
