I have a 2007 Cobalt and some times the door chime/directional sound/left front speaker don't work. Could it be a loose wire or something else? Also how do I remove the radio cover plate to take out the radio?

From my research I found that everything on the 07's go through the head unit.
I just brought in my 06 to have the left door speaker replaced and I had a lack of sound from the right door also. (Since I got it 3 weeks ago its under warranty) The dealer told me they replaced both speakers.

You have to take off 3 pieces of trim to remove the head unit.
These are the same steps I did when I installed my head unit.

if you put an aftermarket head unit in the door chimes and directional s do not function correctly and to replace the brain in the head unit a cable from gm has to be purchased for like a hundred dollars or so i had to do that when i put my system in i dont kno the code for the cable but i could get it if interested
