Each time we start our 2009 cobalt, we get this clicking noise around the glove compartment. We noticed that if we press the recirculate botton the noise goes away.
Is this simple to replace?

Hey opr917,

I'm sorry to hear that you experience a clicking noise with your Cobalt. I cannot guarantee anything, but I will like to look further into this concern for you. Please send us a private message referencing this thread if any extra help is needed. Thank you.

I've also had this problem for 3 or so years now, it is incredibly annoying. Mine happens with heat and ac even with inside air turned off, but only at the lowest setting. It sounds like a fan blade hitting a wire (unfortunately I know from experience with refrigerator). I have yet to take the dash apart and look into it. If you have time, try looking for a loose wire near a fan or other moving parts.
