Hey
I went to get my car inspected this past Saturday (my car has 136,000km's on it and I travel the worst road in Nova Scotia) and it failed.... both of the rear coil springs were broke, they quoted me $250-$300 to replace them.
I then went home and priced them myself ($100 lifetime warrantyfor a pair) then another $40-$60 to have someone put them on. After a couple days the dealership called me and said they had made a call to GM and GM is going to cover the cost of the coils and installation.
It's scenarios like this that keep their customers coming back, this phone call made my day for sure

I have a 2008 LS
Yes we have to get a safety inspection every 2 years, but 2 years ago it had to be done every year
