Hey boys and gals,

Just wondering if any of you out there knew how much it would cost me to get GM to put in a new clutch? I have the new clutch, but want them to install it, any idea on time and price?

Dealerships charge anywhere from 50-150$ a hour depending on the dealership. Just shop around and see what gives you the best price. Also check transmission shops because sometimes they can be less expensive as well.

The manual transmissions basically drops out of cobalts. I've seen guys pull the car in at 8 am and drive it out before lunch. I don't think anybody has done one COD yet, the few we have done have been warranty.

I don't think many dealers will install the customer's parts. They stand behind their work, but don't want to get caught in the debate whether the part or the work was no good.
