I am getting close to needing tires for my wifes and my daughter's cobalts. Do I really need an alignment if the old tires are currently wearing evenly? I know the shop will "recommend" an alignment and maybe it is wise to do with new tires. But, I don't want to waste $60 on something I may not need.
Thoughts???

Spend your money wisely, if the cars aren't pulling and not wearing tires don't touch the alignment.

The shop my buddy took his Cobalt too also recommended a Power Steering flush, despite the fact the car has electric power steering.

As Coby said - if your tires are showing even wear, don't touch it.

Thanks guys. I know some people say you should always get an alignment with new tires but I have the mind set that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Much appreciated responses.
