I decided to cut my grill insert and make it more open. After all that work the grill sags in the middle (above chevy emblem, below hood). Has anyone else done this? Any better luck than me?

Meanwhile, the MPG-types discuss how to block the grill opening to lower drag. Put a big piece of smoked plexiglass in front of it.

I've done it and it doesn't sag. You have to cut out the slats and then put the grill back in without them. If not, it will sag and you can't bolt your bowtie back on, which wouldn't be a bad thing if you like that look.
