Im fixing up a '65 mustang and the brakes on it are locked up since its been sitting in a garage since the early '80s. Does anyone know any ways i can get them unlocked? I had to have it towed home on a tow truck and when it was getting pulled onto the flat bed one wheel broke loose but i cant get the other 3 to budge. Any suggestions?

What I would do is put it up on blocks/jackstands, take the wheels off and tap on the drums with a small sledge or hammer. Pull the drums off and spray everything out with brake cleaner. I would start with that. Aren't you going to replace the brakes anyway. I wouldn't try driving it on 30 y/o brakes anyway. What are your plans for the car. Is it yours, and lets see some pics!

BTW....I deleted your 2nd thread on this same subject.

i tried using a small sledge hammer and a regular sized one and i still cant get em off, and ya actually its 2 of em, a 65 coupe and a 66 convertible. They were my grandma's but she had to get rid of them because she needed the room and would rather me have them than sell them to someone because they're her babies. I'll get some pics as soon as i can.
