I have 2005 Chevy Cobalt. The emissions line that runs from the charcoal canister (bottom line) cracked at the 3 way connection, which one goes to the fuel tank and the other connects at the gas spout. This is setting off my check gas cap and giving me trouble codes. In looking into this, I am being told that this line is part of the gas tank. You have to buy the gas tank. The questions I have are:

Does anyone have a picture of the top of a cobalt fuel tank? I am trying to see if this is truely the case? Also, where exactly it connects.

Has anyone else had this issue? Did you find a work around instead of buying a new gas tank?

Any help is appriecated.

I would put on some epoxy before I got a new tank. Permetex makes some stuff like jb weld called cold heat. Costs $10 and it should fix it, I fixed a cracked 1997 crown Victoria plastic upper intake manifold with it.
