Alright, so I have a 2008 chevy cobalt with a 2.2L. I had a rod break in my engine, so I found a 2.4L and wondering i there is going to be any complications swapping them. Either with the computer or it just not fitting.

Please help!

You'll need the 2.4L PCM. As long as its from a '07+ car, you should be good. Prior to 2007, they have a 16-bit PCM, so that could cause some issues.

The 2.4 swap has been done in the 07-08 cars before, although you would have to add the wiring for the vvt solenoids.

Or get a complete harness with the engine. That'd probably be easiest.

I know some of the 2.2s had VVT, I don't know what year that started though....
