My 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS has currently started a rattling noise coming from the engine. I took it to autozone and checked my check engine light and it came with clean fuel injectors. I bought fuel injector cleanser. But it still seems to have the same rattling noise. Also "check gas cap" warning comes on from time to time. Wondering if anyone had a similar experience or knew anything of this. Thanks.

The rattling noise was probably detonation, also called pre-ignition. A very lean condition causes the air-fuel mixture to ignite too early and the sound you hear is the piston going backwards down the cylinder and the connecting rod bearings banging against the crankshaft. Not good. The gas cap is part of the EVAP system. If it is loose or leaks the system notices the loss of vacuum.
