Gas leak issue

I have an 08 cobalt with a leak coming from the gasket connecting my filler hose to my gas tank. I read that GM recalled cobalts for this exact problem but I was hoping to fix it myself. I just need to figure out how to remove the gasket or what it's specifically called so I can replace it, thanks in advance!

I don't believe that part is serviceable, so you may need to look for a replacement tank (new or used).

I believe the recall referred to a leak from the fuel pump, not the filler line connection. And that recall is only for cars originally sold in or registered in a specific list of states.
