Me and a Buddy went to the track tonight and made a few passes... My best time of the night was 10.54 which I was happy with considering...

And thanks to my buddies mediocre driving skills, I got the best of the Ol V6 Nissan... Even when my driving skills weren't so hot as you'll see in the video... Of course my good runs weren't filmed.

I'm not sure what I did... but when I launched... I fell flat on my face... But still come out ahead by 0.047 of a second:bigsmile:

This was a 10.56 run... but not very good view or sound.

What did you trap?

Just wondering since my basically stock auto 2.2 went 68.84mph...

What kind of E/T did you run with that?

Believe me, a better driver that could find that perfect rpm to launch without falling out or spinning to much could have gotten a little more out of it.

Here's my breakdown for that run.

R/T .298
60' 2.515
330' 7.238
1/8 10.542
MPH 62.13

This was my slip.

Jankyass track with some sketchy front-half sensors.

Car in the right was an auto WRX wagon with a turbo back for reference.

Then we swapped lanes later in the night...

um, thats a 300zx, he must have killed the car, took a drink of his coffee, restarted the car then gone if you beat him! Or, he really sucks!

So Mid 10's is about right for mostly stock vehicles...But what get's me, is you guys are hitting a lot higher MPH's... I've heard that the track I was at is slightly shorter than 1/8, to offset the incline in the track, which you can see with the naked eye... I have no idea though. And that is a 300ZX... I was thinking 350z...lol... It's pretty quick, I've drove it myself many times... but not that quick... We ran down the highway afterwards... where he should have shined... 3rd gear pull, we couldn't edge each other... I let out in fear of a ticket.. I think he could have probably got me in 4th-5th.

Bottom end he is faster, but he just couldn't put it all together.

Not really, the N/A 5-spd VG30 cars are turdtastic.

Think mid to high 15's right along with the SOHC N/A 5-spd 3000GT's and Stealth's. They aren't anything great until you hit VG30DETT/6G72T territory. Then it's all bewst + rape.

'sall gewd.

I'd venture to bet a good driver in a 5-spd or even a bolt-ons auto car could run with if not take down a stock~ish 300ZX or equivalent.

Hell my auto balt ran down my buddy's '97 Maxima that was an auto and it had an intake/B-pipes upgraded (granted it probably didn't help that the maxi-pad had over 200k on the clock either...so it was tired).

Dead even until about 40~ then the...well you know...ECOTEC kicked in yo.
