I was driving my girlfriends car down the highway, and it turned off I'm not sure if it shut down on its own or she has a lanyard on her key and i somehow caught my arm on that and turned the key off when I reached down to scratch my leg. The issue though isn't the shut down it's the tranny. I coasted to the side of the road and started the car right up and when i put it in gear in went in gear hard. Then when i started driving it was shifting hard through all the gears. Other than that no problems, shifts in all the right places and doesn't slip or hesitate shimmer or anything, no check engine light either. Just a hard shift. It was in gear while i coasted to the side of the road. No more than 50 Yards. Does anyone know what it could be. It's a 2006 chevy cobalt with about 116,000 miles. I don't know much about these type of cars. I'm a diesel guy. Any help would be appreciated.
