Hello. due to legal reasons I am only able to drive my cobalt so i built a 4.5 x 10 trailer so i can haul some building materials. I was surprised at how well it handles it.my only concern is it would be nice to retard the shift points a little bit so is it possible. Please does anyone know if or how?

No not possible. Not unless you can find someone to tune the pcm and tcm. You will spend upwards of $500 to do that. At that point you should be doing performance mods. But in reality, no it’s not something that can be done. The Cobalt is a compact economy car not made to haul or tow heavy loads. Light trailers are pushing its limits.

Not only that but the 05-06 Cobalt with a 2.2 is deemed untuneable. Nobody is willing to fool around with the 16bit pcm anyways. Later models with the 32bit pcm were easier to tune. Not so much for automatic cars though.
