So I've been looking into getting the SS bumper for my 07 cobalt lt for a while and I've been feeling comfortable with the fact that the SS bumper is compatible with the LT. So the other day I finally decided to buy it and when their representatives called me for the color confirmation, and VIN, (they were gonna have it painted to) they told me the part number for the SS bumper (12336074) is not compatible with the LT bumper (12336066) but it didn't sound like they were 100% positive. They said that the holes would be different and also the fact that the last two digits were different and didn't want to take the chance until I confirmed the parts are compatible. Can someone please straighten this out for me I'm getting confused about all this. Thanks!

You didn't over pay unless you find a color matched out of a junk yard. Personally wouldn't pay it, but I've got different ideas of what I want to do with my car.

This woman, for whatever reason, backed into me at a stop sign one day. Seriously. I was behind her and she was stopped and for some unknown reason to me, she just started backing on up, and lil ol me was no match for a Ford F-150. Needless to say, got a new bumper out of it (among other parts of course) and I decided to go with the SS instead of sticking with the LT bumper. It looks much better, but the splash guards didn't fit completely right on mine. It's not an issue and it doesn't cause problems from what I've seen, so it's definitely worth it if that was your only concern.

What company or website did you find the SS bumper on. I am thinking about doing the same thing with my 2010 colbalt lt.
My friend actually sent me to a company that sells bumpers from an eBay account. He bought a bumper from them before for his civic si and he had no problem he gave them his information about his car and he got his bumper painted and shipped within a week. Here's the link: Painted Front Bumper Cover Chevy Cobalt 2006 2007 SS 2 4L Model New | eBay but something was telling me that the representative didn't know what they were talking about because they told me that the holes for the nuts were different hence why I started this treadto find out but recently I looked on amazon for a couple other things and I noticed that they have it too for $270 but they don't paint it....

Not sure about the differences from year to year, but I have a 2009 LT and got an SS bumper instead of replacing the LT bumper. Looks better, fits right. You might have a problem with one of the screws for the splash guards. I chose to leave the screw out and have had no issues or problems, nor have my splash guards shown any sign of improper fitting.
