Alright I just got all of my interior trim plus extra pieces painted victory red to match the car. I de-badged my car and it seemed like a cool idea to take the Cobalt letters off the back and mount them on the passenger side trim like the SS models have but I don't know how?

I bought mounting tape but it looks like it would make the letters stick out too far,

is there any glue of some sort that would work better?!?

I have heard good things about gorilla glue. Should hold and not too expensive.

I have had luck with the clear silicone (the stuff you can buyin a tube at Lowe's, etc)holding old badges to glass. You could also try the clear two part adhesive stuff you can get at auto parts stores.

mounting tape is how it's held on from the factory. i used "outdoor mounting tape" from home depot to re-mount my rear chevy symbol after painting, and to put the "cobalt" lettering back in my interior. sticks out a little, but not too much. just use an exacto knife to cut the shape of the letters/symbol and make it significanly skinnier than the actual piece, and it should look great.

just my two cents
