Which SS are you talking about?
There are three different SS models.
And there is also a 2008+ Sport models.
So please be more specific please.

Welcome to the forum!

What year(s) are you looking at? The Cobalt was introduced in 2005 and went out of production in 2010. A good site to explore would probably be GM News - United States - Vehicles - here you should be able to find specs from the different model years.

I'm around the forum to help if you ever have any questions!

There is a lot of overlap between the trims.

LS is basically the base model. No frills basic car.

LT is the LS with some extras. Same engine basically, but you get the options for power windows, sunroof, preimium sound package, leather interior, heated seats etc.

The LT sport is the LT with an SS body and a slightly beefier engine (2.4l compared to the 2.2l) The first few years of production this car was considered the SS/NA but was later changed to the LT sport.

The SS includes a few different models. I just mentioned the SS/NA which later turned into the LT sport. But then there is also the SS/SC (supercharged) and the SS/TC (turbocharged) There was also a limited run of SS/TC sedans which are quite rare...

As far as headlights go, check out buyHIDs.com They are one of our forum vendors and can hook you up with whatever you will need for your headlights. I'd avoid the blue halo's tho. At least where I am from any blue lights on your car at all (inside or outside) isn't a ticket, it's jail time. Seriously, they pull you over, put you in cuffs and read you your rights. See it happen all the time at one of the big weekly car cruises here.

Agita, do you live in 1959 Soviet Russia? That's pretty intense. Here in Louisiana, you're not allowed to have red or blue lights outside of your car but I've had the Halos for about a month so far and no tickets yet. I drive every day and pass anywhere from 3 to 6 cops in one direction. You should read up and be aware of any laws or ordnances relating to headlights or other exterior lighting on private vehicles for your state / county.

Agita is in HI, they do shi different there! Just a revamp to that awesome explination the LS actually came with the power windows, locks, sunroof, just not the premium sound, leather seats, or heated seats. This may have changed later on but my 05 came with all of this.

OP: the cost of the car depends on the location, some people bought their cars with low miles for as much as I got mine with just over 100k. Check KBB and edmonds for rough estimates of cost.
