So the other day when I did my 2.4 intake manifold, 2.4 throttle body, and painted my valve cover. . .I started my car, and heard a hissing noise, it isnt noticeable unless the cars hood is open, and it's constant, no deviation in sound with reving or anything...I took the valve cover off, and resealed the gasket yesterday and took the manifold off and made sure it was sealed, that wasnt the problem...so i took my injectors out...and somewhere along the lines the little seal at the tip of the gasket has been sheared...kinda just hanging off, but not torn all the way through...i put it back in and it's still doing it. Also, I forgot to add, i have had no performance issues and my cel is on now...I sprayed water on the started engine, and when it got in the area of the injector the motor started sputtering so I'm confident that it is the source of the hiss...however I'm not familiar enough with cars to know if a leaky injector would have suction or anything on it...I was just curious if anyone could help me out, if i need to replace the injector I can, I'd just like to know that thats it and not another problem...thanks
