I recently bought a 2008 chevy cobalt Ls 2 door coupe. I love the car and really wanted to hook up a system to it. I went out and bought a new headunit, 2 ten kickers, an alpine amp and also a dual amp because i thought there was a problem with the alpine, i got the wiring harness for the headunit and the kit for the amp. My problem is i'm not getting any power to either amplifier and im not understanding why, i think its a problem with the remote because i tested both my ground and power wire. If anyone has any advice on how to wire the remote the correct way please reply. THANKS FOR READING!!

You can test the amp by touching the remote wire to your positive 12 volt source, the amp should turn on. The way I wired my remote was by running a wire to the fuse box on the passenger side of the console and used an atc fuse tap Cooper Bussmann/ATC fuse tap (BP-HHA-RP) | Fuse and Accessories | AutoZone.com plugged into the windshield wiper circuit so the amp turns on when the car is on.
