I want to get to the wiring to install a backup alarm. Does the cover over the lamp simply snap off, or does that white plastic tab (in a notch in the cover) need to be pushed a certain way or ?

I assume if I want to remove the trunk lid liner itself I will need to pull very hard on the liner to snap it off?

Be careful with the little plastic buttons as they could break easy. But everything is pretty simple to get to.

Wow, what rapid replies! But are the white tabs involved in removing the lamp cover?

Those are what I'm afraid might break.

I have a sedan, I am using my experience with my trunk. I do know that you need to remove the "fabric" trunk liner to get to the coupe lights, you get to the wiring from inside the trunk. You should not need to remove the exterior light covers.

The plastic covers over the lamps inside my trunk look like this

To me it appears that the white plastic tab is meant to be pushed in some direction to assist in popping off the cover. But it doesn't move under strong pressure. Nor does the cover seem to want to pop off even with considerable pressure.

Maybe the 2010 Coupe is different in this respect compared to other years ?
