I have a 2007 SS with the Pioneer system (with factory amp, tweeters, 6x9s and rear bass). The radio will no longer work after having a dead battery and Chevy wants too much to reprogram. What is the best install kit to purchase and recommendation of a Double DIN that would retain the factory amp and all speakers functional? I do not use the ONSTAR and I would forego the steering wheel controls if that is an expensive option to have. I have been using an external Bluetooth connector to capture tunes from my phone.

Or do you guys just bypass the factory amp and connect the Double DIN directly to the speakers?

Does anyone have the wiring able connections?

Thanks much for any info or recommendations.

I would get on the website Crutchfield. They'll give you all of the advice, tools, and gear that you need. It'll let you hang onto steering wheel controls, the factory amp, and depending on what you get you'll have vastly more options in the future
