Ok I was talking to this one guy I know...He is all about hydrogen which is better then gas and unlimited compared to oil. From what he told me you can get good gas mileage better then hybrids, but I guess he said also that the older cars will have a better chance since they have carbuerators. If this is true that you can make your own hydrogen and just do whatever that has to be done to the motor then that would save alot of people money,

Not feasable. Right now it costs more to make hydrogen than to buy gas. Also, from what I've read up on hydrogen, it's not more efficient yet. Just needs more time. Prolly will happen someday, when we run out of gas and end up like Mad Max.

Yeah, you can separate water into hydrogen and oxygen using nothing but electricity, but it takes a crap ton of electricity to make any usable amount - definitely not worth it.

And converting your motor would be a fairly serious undertaking. You'd need a compressed hydrogen tank (very pricey, even if you have a way to get compressed hydrogen in the first place) and a different ECU and different injectors, etc.

Also, hydrogen fuel cells (kind of like a "refillable battery," which makes electricity from hydrogen) coupled with an electric motor is more efficient for hydrogen than an IC engine.

Wikipedia has a lot of information if you're interested: Hydrogen vehicle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Exactly. This isn't something that you just slap together in an afternoon.
