Essentially, I want to have my 3rd brake light be on when the car is running (or when the other two brake lights are on normally) and not only when the brake is applied. I'm sure there is an easy way to do this, right?

Edit: Sorry this should have gone in "Exterior" not "Problems and Service."

Not really, high brake light is controlled by a different circuit than the 2 tail brake lights. It is also used to detect brakes being applied by "BCM" so it can cancel cruise.

Why would you want it to act like the tail anyway.

Ah, okay that definitely makes things a little more difficult.

Smoked tails. I wanted the high to be more visible. I could always lighten the smoke up a little bit or buy brighter lights.
