Hey guys, i have a question

i have a 2006 chevy cobalt ls. its a sedan,
the other day i went to my local junk yard and i saw a beat up cobalt. the only part i saw useful for my car was the spoiler
it came stock on that car as well. it was also a sedan. i was wondering. if i could just take it off and have it painted and install it on my car myself!?
could i do that?! or is their something i need to watch out for?

Yes, you can do it........but a better suggestion, get the deck lid too, cause then you wont need to put holes in a perfectly good deck lid

oh i see, yea your totally right. however, thats going to cost me a bit.
lol
im guessing i could probably get away with the spoiler for about 45 bucks.
but the lid might be like 80.

how much do you think it would cost to paint the spoiler?
and if i may have to the lid as well.

Most autowreckers will give you a core return charge for that, if you bring in your old trunk lid........

All the shops charge different, If there is a Maaco near you, you may be able to get away with just buying paint............
