well folks i've decided its now time to create a thread for my new cobalt, which i got back in january. i was waiting until i had enough things done to it before posting and before i get started, here's the link to my previous cobalt in case anyone is curious...

its just me/ 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS Sedan/ LaFargeville, NY

as stated above, i got this car back in january [traded my sedan in for it] and since day one i've been working on it to make it "mine". so far all i have is appearance mods. performance is on the way as soon as budget allows it...and after i figure out what to get first. any tips for performance? not really looking to go super fast or anything, but more for sound and a little more go would be sweet. anyway, onto the car...

here's the car the day i bought it...

and here's my list...btw, i'm aiming for a silver and black theme and so far so good!

interior:

nadda...yet. planning to paint pillars and recover headliner tho. everything else is already black, dash is already silver, and seats are leather. might throw in some lights but i'm undecided on that one. i also need to put my subs/amp back in. right now they're sitting in the garage collecting dust =[

exterior:

-door strips were removed by previous owner [spares me the headache lol]
-cut antenna in half, actually a little less than half
-debaged the rear then rebadged "C O B A L T" where the bowtie would have been
-swapped low-rise wing for the high-rise. the highrise is ultra silver metallic but there doesn't seem to be too much of a noticeable diff. between the two silvers [my car is the silver ice metallic]
-painted center blade and endcaps on highrise black
-painted black rings on the tail lights
-ventvisors on the windows
-painted headlights black
-painted front bow-tie black
-blue streetglow headlight bulbs...stock fogs
-three club stickers..."NNY Cobalt Concepts" [2] and "East Coast Cobalts" [1]...haven't decided where to put YC decal yet
-future plans: window tint for sure...SS front lip [maybe], evo mod [maybe], paint/powdercoat rims black or gunmetal, and some kind of paint work [either stripes or full two-tone]

i believe that's all for now so onto the pics!

**NOTE**: i remember the floor mats getting some attention when they were pictured in my old cobalt. i just wanted to point out that the interior pic you are about to see was taken the night i brought this car home for the first time so the floor mats are from my old cobalt. i now have a new, black to match set in there so no worries lol

nice car. i like the head lights and spoiler. i need to make a thread for my car but right now its almost completly stock but i do have some parts for it that i have been waiting for my college spring break to throw on. i figured for starters u can never go wrong with putting a aftermarket intake in the car and their not too much money at all

thanks for the comments guys! and yeah i go to a few local meets in watertown when the weather is nice. there's a few modded balts running around this area and we usually get together at least once or twice a week. do you still live in NY? there's a big meet at the orange county choppers showroom in newburgh on april 25th, myself and the other locals are heading down, should be awesome!

thanks for the comments :amuse:

one of my friends has a silver balt too. he's doing a silver and black theme as well so i'm trying my best to keep mine as different as possible. for example, he painted his tail lights silver while mine are black...and not quite the same style. we both have black headlights but mine are painted stockers, his are gen 3's. the biggest difference is the fact that mine came with an ss body kit while his is an 05 ls with the ls kit [w/fogs] and the paint on mine is a bit darker. they're little differences but they work lol
