Hi
I just bought a two boston acoustic rally series subwoofers inside of a kicker sealed/ported box with kicker tweeters. The amp is a 1000W pyle 2/4ch also includes a SCOSCHE line converter.
My only "complaint" is it takes up a LOT of space (more than I thought when I agreed to buy it from another Cobalt owner) And since it's my 17 yo driving, he's going to have to know how to remove the speaker wires and the box in order to get to the spare and tools in the event of a flat.
I'm looking for opinions on using a smaller box, but candidly have no knowledge of how to determine the dimensions, porting, etc so that I could buy/build a wedge shaped box to avoid having to remove the box in the event of a flat.
Also, the installer used the battery terminals for both the positive and negative connections..and I'd always heard thats a BAD thing (but was in no place to argue)..and so should I move the negative to a frame bolt, or I am being overly cautious?
Thanks as always !!
