There is no real DIY but a very long thread about some of it and a lot of BS. When you are ready to do this come back and I'll summarize the install for you. Basically you connect to two pins of the BCM, which are the dome light supply so they come on and off simultaneously when you open your car door.
johnccc is no longer on forum since he upgraded to an Impala, but here is that long thread with eventually the info you'd need around post#30 l0l.
I completed this mod yesterday and after plugging in my connector, my LED's flashed for a second then everything in the cluster went black. Only the other bulbs for the cluster warning lights, turn signals, etc are working. No Tach, Speed or Fuel needle movement either. Any thoughts on this?
Update: The LED's ordered were too low of a voltage (2v). I have to order the correct LED's.
I need to replace the original headlight assemblies (housings) in my kids 2007 LT... I have heard that some of the aftermarket ones are crappy. Question is: Which ones should I avoid? I've heard of Depo, Eagle Eyes, Dorman...
I'm looking for experienced answers. Thanks.
I want to get a projector that shines the Chevy logo on the ground when I open my door. I’ve seen the crappy magnet ones on amazon and everywhere else I DONT WANT THAT. Wiring an actual projector logo light isn’t an issue I would like to find one that is decent and won’t break on me
I was wondering how I would convert the back lights on the cobalt. In my case I did install an LED light but they hyperflash. I tried a Load Resistor but occasionally the back turn lights would not blink. I have not replaced the main break lights in the back just the turn signal lights.
