i got a new sending unit installed in my tank and had the previous float arm put on the new sending unit. now when i have a full tank i am fine but as soon as i get to a 1/4 of a tank my car like boggs out when i hit 3000 rpm or so from what i have seen. now i let it go the first time and filled tank. and got very worried on 2nd time and now just for reassurance i did it a 3rd time and another cobalt in back of me almost ate lunch with my trunk cause my balt lost power so bad it actually caused me to decrease in speed while trying to give it some gas. and the weird part is when i give it gas it kicks out i get nothing even with pedal to floor then bam it kicks back in and then back out.
be much appreciated if anyone has heard of this problem cause its really weird

i watch him install it and he had the float arm towards the bottom and i am not sure it would fit in the tank upside down. i mean from what i saw it didnt look like it. but how would the float affect my power..... and i just read something on cobalt ss site about the venturi pump failing and or breaking and not pumping fuel into the reservoir in the fuel pump itself.
sad part is my car has 63k on it
