I decided to make a new thread to keep things better organized for future reference. I have photos taken with the wheel off:





I've dropped the motor mounts but still could not locate the source. I've also tried hunting for the source with the engine running but no luck.

You are going to have to shampoo the engine and wash the old oil away. Then You will be able to see the source.

It seems to be coming from the top, so my guess valve cover gasket.

Should be safe. Just use a can of brake clean on it. Probably is just the valve cover gasket
