So right now I am really pissed. I went today and bought a can of VHT for my tails. I have done this a few times for friends and customers so started at 12 and was finished in and hour with the side markers, third brake, tail lights and reverse lights, Let them dry for a little while and put the side markers on. Then I put the third brake and the rear tail lights on. I then went bown to my basement and carried the reverse lights up to my car. My wife was watering flowers and the driveway was wet and I slipped and when I went to catch myself guess what i did with the revers lights, I tossed them to catch myself. Long story short the blacktop put some huge scratches on them. I went back down to the basement and tried sanding and wet sanding from 800 up to 1200grit for a few hours. Then when I thought I had them just right I resprayed them. They looked good wet. I left them alone for an hour or so and came back down and you can still see every scratch, now that they were dry. So now I'm pissed, I start layering the VHT on thinking that it will fill the scratches. I was wrong, all the other lights look real good and the two reverse lights look like sh!t. I looked at Varous gm factory parts suppliers and those dame plastic light buckets are $67.00 a piece. So much for the under $100 mod for me. Hell I would have been better off to have mixed up some black and reduced it and just sprayed and cleared them.

Does anyone know if there are aftermarket sets or JUST the reverse lights, I tried searching the forum and the web and all I am finding are full kits with all the lights. I guess my only option is to go to a junk yard and buy used.
