Does anyone have any expirience with the Mothers power ball products, either for rims or for paint? I'm getting ready to order some products from them and was wondering these were any good. Also, what wax would you suggest of theirs? These are the items I have to choose from

I heard the powerball worked good, havent used it personally, but the detailing shop across the lot from my work swears by it!!

the only downside is the amount of polish it throws around, you have to almost go over it with a shammi(sp) afterwards to get rid of the polish spots

I have the powerball mini and I LOVE it! I use it for mag and aluminum polishing so I can't help you out on the wax. If your looking for mag and alumium I suggest either mother or eagle one.

exactly what I was going to say! it makes the job so much easier (so it seems) till you're done, and have to redo it because it's basically a big spinning sponge. and unless you keep cleaning it (ever try getting wax off a sponge? not very easy) it just throws the wax or polish everywhere.

That's true but the whole idea behind it IMO is to get that hard to polish/wax stuff off then you can simply go back over it again with a polish/wax applicater.

So what I'm trying to get at is if it's already fairly clean then you shouldn't need it.

Well, I have to stick to Mothers now, since I just got sponsored by them, lol. But I love their products anyway :)

Well GRATS on the sponsorship.... how'd you get that?
If you go on their site, they have a section for sponsorships. I have a full written proposal that I send to all companies that I try to get sponsored by, along with pics. It takes a lot of work. I have emailed like 100 different companies and have gotten only 2 sponsors, lol. If you're interested, I can send you a copy of my proposal to look at. Quite a few of the companies that turned me down for sponsors told me it was a great proposal and that I was going about things the right way, it was just that they didn't have any sponsorships available for the Cobalt right now.

that would be awsome if you could send me that. I probably won't start submitting them till I get at least the interior finished but at least I can start making my own
