I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT Coupe, with about 78,000 miles on it. I bought it new in 2006 and it has all been dealer-serviced. I have had zero issues with maintenance, and it's running like brand new.

Here's what's going on now...Every morning when I start my car it sputters almost like it is about to stall, but it doesn't. Then once I start accelerating slowly (since it is first thing in the morning, after sitting all night), the sputtering stops and I won't hear it for the rest of the day.

It just started doing this for about a few weeks now, and I have no engine lights on. I called the dealer where my advisor suggested a fuel injector service at $130.00. Does anyone know if this is a normal fix for this problem at 78,000 miles? I do not want to go to the dealer spend the money, and then spend another couple of hundred on fixing the real issue.

Any input is greatly appreciated! - Thanks!

Yep kinda sounds like spark plugs or clogged injectors. run some fuel injector cleaner, and change out your spark plugs. See if that helps..

Welcome to the site BTW
