Hey everyone. I'm so glad I found this forum. I have been looking around the internet for fixes and parts for the garbage key fobs I got for my Cobalt after the ignition cylinder recall a few years ago. Enough Googling led me to this forum. Through a recommendation that came from this site, I finally found a Canadian company that sells parts and even fixes the remotes, and for that reason I decided to sign up. So, thanks!

I have a 2007 Cobalt LT sedan, laser blue metallic, give or take 207,000 km. It's been rear-ended 3 times, most recently this past spring, so half of the body is brand new :laugh2:

My wife and I love it though. So glad it wasn't written-off in the last accident. It runs really economically for us and it's at the point now that I can find parts cheap enough and do a lot of work myself.

Anyway, looking forward to everyone's ideas, recommendations, and advice, and I'll certainly provide mine when I can.

Good to know, Coby7. I'll send you a private message if I find I am not having success either fixing it myself or finding someone in the west to help me out. Know where I can just get a remote shell?

If mailing it to Coby isn't too much then he's definitely the guy you want to fix them. If you want to try your hand at fixing them yourself search the forums, Coby posted a how to a few years back with the common problems which helped me get mine working in no time

I have them here but I would need to know which one of the 2 styles you need, with or without remote start.

In Canada it don't matter where you are, if you post it it's 2 to 3 days wether you mail next door or 6000Kms. I done some for BC and Winnipeg just last week. It cost me about 3 bucks to mail.
