Okay so ive noticed that sometimes my balt runs at a higher temperature than normal and it has increasingly become more frequent. I changed the oil probably two weeks ago and thats good checked the level tonight. However, noticed that my coolant level is below the fill line when its cold. Now my question is i read in the book that after 30,000 miles that coolant may need to be added too and i am currently around 32,000 so that makes since. But should i flush the entire system or can i just add some coolant when its cold to the fill line and follow the instructions for adding coolant in the handbook?

get back to me much appreciated

thanks in advice

add a bottle of water wetter. (use as directed, not sure if you'd need the whole bottle for our size systems).

not exactly car related so take it with a grain of salt, but adding just 20ml's of water wetter to my water cooled computer dropped the average full load heat by ~10%. not much change, but I bet since it is designed for cars and if you add more than I did, you may see a larger or at least similar drop. I did not want to add too much as it would effect the coolant dye and chemical properties, so I am very happy with the 10%

word well i thought about it some more and the reason why it was so hot yesterday was because i was driving my mom to the dealership to drop off her POS rav 4 for more recall work and then to her work and it was rush hour so i was constantly stopping and going so this morning i just went out and added some bottled water to the cold fill line and well see how that goes if it still runs hot ill get it flushed by thanks for the input everyone gotta love yourcobalt!
