I took the steering wheel controls on my 2006 Colbalt out because I have a couple burnt out bulbs. They are the Neo wedge type that twist out. Does anyone know what part number they are? Any information would be help full.

Thanks Joe

Probably a 3mm 14 Volt rice bulb. Have you thought of replacing it with a 3mm 12 volt LED?

Autolumination Instrument Panel Light Bulbs & Lamps) Well after doing much research I belive I found them. If you go to the site above and scroll down to Neo - Wedge Incandescent Instrument Panel Bulbs Type A, B & C. The first one one the left Type A (T3) should be the correct one. You don't want and LED because it has a positive and negative lead. I ordered a few and I will keep posted if anyone is interested.

I install LEDs all the time in these all you need to know is the polarity. They work great and never burn. Just finished one of these with LED conversion. It needed 4 LEDs, 2x5mms and 2x 3mms.

I know, just keeping it simple for the rest. You can order the T3 in led. Would just have to check your polarity like you said. I think most peeps would go for the quick fix. Prices for the bulbs are pretty cheap. I'm sure GM would gouge you if they even had them.

They would sell you the whole switch.

I usually replace the bulb in the socket for clients that don't want LEDs.
