I am new to this cobalt thing and have no idea what the abbreiviations meen . I just got my 08 LS coupe 2.2 out of the body shop after hitting a deer at 80 MPH . I had a body kit put on it and now I am excited as hell about the little car . I am a horse power guy and I am bummed because I can't find any good stuff for a non supercharged cobalt . So i am going cosmetic .

FE whatever refers the the different suspensions that exist between cobalt models
Base, LS, LT models have FE1 suspensions
2.4 motor cobalts have FE3 suspensions
True SS cobalts have FE5 suspensions

They are all the same but the higher up you go the more sport tuned they become and usually better handling a lot of LS and LT owners upgrade there suspensions to the FE5 suspensions and the FE5 shocks and struts work great with lowering springs

You've probably also seen reference to the LAP, L61, LE5, LSJ, LNF, etc.

L61 = 2.2L engine (pre-2009 LS/LT models)
LAP = 2.2L engine (2009+ LS/LT/XFE models)
LE5 = 2.4L engine in the naturally aspirated SS (i.e. fake SS, 2006-2007) and Cobalt Sport (2008 only)
LSJ = 2.0L Supercharged engine (2005-2007 SS models)
LNF = 2.0L Turbocharged engine (2008-2010 SS models)

If you see RPD, it refers to a performance display in 2009/2010 SS models.

G85 refers to the Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) available on LSJ/LNF Cobalts.

That's all the common Cobalt-related ones I can think of for now.

WOT = Wide Open Throttle (Took me a while at first for this one.)
FTW = For The Win.
FML = F*** My Life. (I think. :p)
FTMFW = For The MF Win. (You can fill in the blank. :p)
YCOTM = Your Cobalt Of The Month.

Really, only the first one pertains to your question, but I thought I'd throw those in too. :p
