Good morning. I'm working on a 2.2 eco that lost the cam timing chain. I'm in the process of pulling the head now, since the pistons and valves got acquainted. I have several questions that I'm hoping some of you with much more experience with these engines than I do, can answer.

The balance shaft chain is still in tact. The car has 114K on it. Should I replace that chain as well as the cam chain?
Is the water pump a must to replace?
Are the head and cam bolts reusable ( I know they are TTY bolts)
Any recommendations on what chain package to use? I see a lot of the cheap kits online have terrible reviews.

For full disclosure, I will be selling this car once it's running, so cost is an issue. That being said, I do not sell something I wouldn't have my children drive. So if I need to spend a little extra to make sure it's right, I will do it.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe a junkyard motor would be a better option. Just make sure the tensioner is the revised version.

crate engine depot has some decent pricing with chain kits and what not but no head bolts and cams bolts should not be reused
